I just got Vonage telephone service. Installation was easy , I as installed Vonage adapter between my cable modem and wireless router. This setup works great if I am not on the phone. However during the telephone call my home network bandwidth almost drops to 0. Page load becomes very slow. Speed gets restored as soon as phone is hung up.

I know that VOIP connection doesn't take more that 128Kbps speed. Why vonage router is hogging my bandwidth. Did vonage gave me real cheap adapter which can not move data traffic in access of >10Mbps or the router is too conservative that it wants to hog the entire bandwidth. I am sore lot of people must have this issue.

I don't want to connect Vonage after my router because I want 100% reliable telephone even if I am downloading big files over the Internet. Any thought or information will be highly appreciated.
